Come alive again
In the rush of living, in these fast-paced
times that we live in, it’s very easy to forget who you are, or—even worse—to
lose yourself in order to conform to a norm or to achieve some grand ambition.
So, here are a few tips to help you remain you or to find yourself again.
Focus on your life, your lane, your fight. Have you ever seen an
athlete in the middle of the race looking left and right to admire the race
another athlete is running? Of course not; all athletes know that in order to
win, they need to be focused on their lane. Keep your eyes off what others are
doing and how they are trying to live out their days on Earth. Focus on your
life and what you were born to do, and build your temple according to the plan
given to you by your creator.
Faith is hope for the things to come. You can’t afford to lose
faith in God or in his word concerning your life. It’s something I have seen in
life; you naturally attract what you hope for. So, if you want something, you
have to keep believing. Losing faith is simply throwing in the towel. I read
somewhere that the Bible is filled with over 3000 promises from God. The great
thing about God is that he never breaks a promise. So, if you can find it in
his word, you can believe it.
“Forge ahead” is one of the phrases I really love. It’s simply
saying, “Keep on moving. Press on. Don’t give up.” It is sometimes very hard to
do, though, especially when you have come to the end of yourself and have used
up all your energy, and things are still not working as planned. In moments
like this, it’s natural to just give up, but you shouldn’t. Just press on and
keep at it. Keep going because in life, it’s all about timing and chance. If
you are keeping at it, your time will come, and the opportunity will open up.
If you let go, you’ll miss out on the opportunity when it finally comes. Forge
ahead—don’t give up.
Fervent is another word for passionate—in other words, “Burn baby,
burn.” You can’t go through your days and your life dragging your feet and just
being. You have to get your energy back. Where’s your zeal? What are you
passionate about? Where is that fire in your eyes? That zest that makes you go
through life with a passion to live out loud? You need to come alive again.
Find the energy to do what you are doing with passion, or find something you
are passionate about. You can’t just exist; you need to live and live
passionately. Nothing is worth doing if you are not doing it well.
“Finish strong” is another phrase we all know quite well, I believe,
but it’s more than just a phrase; it’s the truth. What’s the point of starting
if you don’t plan to finish? What’s the point of working hard and passionately
if, in the end, you just let it fall off and die? You need to see it through to
the end and finish well.
Take stock of your life, draw up
a plan for it, and start to live according to your plan. Ask God for direction
and inspiration on how to live a fulfilled life. You need to focus on God and
his plan for your life. You need to believe his promises concerning your life
and hold on to them no matter what. You can’t give up along the way. Keep
moving, keep living life with zest, and you will follow through to the very end—finish
well.
Thank you Seye for this.
