Tell is as IT is

Nothing beats the truth.

Often times you find yourself in a pickle. Either way you chose you’d get into the trouble. Your present dilemma is a result of something you did and you wanted to cover up. You hid the truth only to realize that the more you tried to cover up the more you ended up getting into trouble. Like the bible says you found yourself ‘ensnared by the words of your mouth’.

So what happens now? Should you continue to cook up lies to cover up one lie after another? May work for a while but ultimately it will come crumbling down like a pack of cards. History has shown time and time again people, who have built their successes on lies or told a lie in a public office, eventually have it blown up in their faces.

Recently a well-known international reporter lost his job and his credibility when it was discovered he had been reporting stories falsely. So what do you do if you have built your life on lies, or if you are keeping up a facade to save face or made a promise you can’t keep?

"Have you been caught by your own words, trapped by your own promises?3 Well then, my child, you are in that person's power, but this is how to get out of it: hurry to him, and beg him to release you." Proverbs 6:2-3

…Step out of the lies, speak the truth, the truth will set you free. Nothing beats the truth so tell it as it is.
