Boldly Living: 3 Ways to Live a Purposeful and Joyful Life with God

Image
To live a life that's bold, purposeful, and joyful is to confidently believe that God is always orchestrating your life for good . That belief gives you the courage and backbone to live the life He's called you to—a life that is open, free, and impactful in every sphere you find yourself. I know that's everyone's dream. If given the choice, that’s the life we'd choose. While we can't always predict what life will hand us, there are three key ways to help us live boldly —even in life's joyful and sometimes challenging moments. Think of these as principles for bold living : Trust God Make intentional choices Cultivate a heart of gratitude When we practice these, we tap into a life overflowing with purpose, joy, and divine favour . Trust in God's Sovereignty "…God rules in the affairs of men and gives it to whomsoever he will." — Daniel 4:17 That’s reality. As humans, we are limited—our best efforts are just that: our best. A Caution in the Christmas Tale

Image
The story of Christmas is as uplifting as the season itself. It’s filled with joy and hope amid the busyness of closing the year and spending time with family and friends. But at the heart of it all stands a central truth: Christmas represents an undeniable gift of love and redemption—grace freely offered to all.   While the celebration of Jesus’ birth is a joyful occasion, it also serves as a call to reflect on its deeper meaning. It’s a beautiful story of love and grace, but a solemn caution lies between the gift and the sacrifice.   In Romans 6:23 (NIV), we find a warning worth heeding, even during this festive season: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of...

Finding Joy and Purpose in Everyday Choices

In the hustle and bustle of daily life, our routines can quickly rob us of the excitement and anticipation that each new day should bring. Yet, within these mundane tasks lies an opportunity for a profound shift in perspective—a chance to rediscover the thrill of living. One powerful way to do this is by cultivating a grateful heart. Gratitude has endless benefits and can open countless doors. Whether it's the smile of a child saying "thank you" or the profound gratitude we express to God, gratitude can multiply blessings in our lives. There are countless opportunities to express gratitude in our everyday lives, from the moment we awaken to the time we drift off to sleep.   For instance, as we coax our children out of bed for school, their protests can be a reminder of the joy of having them in our lives, their voices a symphony of blessings. Breakfast becomes not just sustenance but a moment to be thankful for the food on our table. Our daily commute, perhaps o...

Rainbow in the Fountain

Image
With all the saddening news around, it’s very easy to miss out on the beautiful things in the world—simple pleasures like the rays of the sun forming rainbows in a fountain you pass every day. Sometimes, you have to stop and look to really see the joys of life. They’re all around you, little blessings that make you smile. Forget about the troubles engulfing your heart and turning it cold. Look around you. What do you see? At first, you may see a maddening traffic jam that inspires rage in your heart. If you look beyond that, you may see the clouds parting slightly or new rays of sunlight welcoming the day. You may notice birds flying as they search for their meals. As you continue to observe beyond the obvious, you may smell the fresh scent of dew on leaves as the wind rustles the trees around you. You may hear running water flowing in a nearby stream.   As you take in the world, you may begin to appreciate the fact that you’re able to experience this worl...
