Turn it around…Again.

As I listened to Glowreeyah Braimah’s song Miracle Worker (feat. Nathaniel Bassey) this morning, my mind went to the first line of the Psalm 126. The words of that verse intertwined with the lyrics of the song and sank deep into my soul. When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion it felt like a dream to them, the God that can change destinies in a second, turned their story around. In a moment, they went from being in captive to being free. What struck me most about the verse was the fact that God turned their captivity around AGAIN. So it wasn’t a fluke, it wasn’t a once-off, by-chance occurrence, God had done it before and he did it again. And more importantly he can do it again. That’s a huge comfort. Think about a time in your life when you felt trapped, when you felt overwhelmed by situations in your life that at the time felt like it was going to consume you.
